Valerie Assoi describes herself as a bridge builder between heterogenous groups (which do not typically mix together). She holds a Master’s Degree in Conflict Resolution and a B.A. in Business Administration and has unmatched skills in planning, organization and management of group dynamics. Her 15+ years of experience in program coordination and in community development, as well as financial services and women entrepreneurship make her an engaged citizen and multipreneur expressing diversity with intersectional lens. Valérie Assoi is also a specialist on questions of equity diversity and inclusion matters, starting by her own experience as a woman, a francophone in an anglophone province, a Black woman, an immigrant, a single mom and a neurodiverse person. Owner of Acacia Mediation and AssoiVal Consulting, member of l’Assemblée de la francophonie de l’Ontario and board member of City for All Women Initiative (CAWI), she is an elected school board trustee for the French Catholic school board.
