About the session:
Even if you use a bookkeeper and/or accountant, it is imperative that you understand the financial side of your business. This introductory‐level guide takes you through practical exercises to help you understand the type of information financial statements provides.
About the presenter:
Melanie Rupp, MBA, is the Director, Loans & Advisory Services for Women’s Enterprise Centre. She has worked exclusively with women entrepreneurs as a Business Advisor for the past 15 years. In her current role, Melanie supports women entrepreneurs to build successful companies utilizing her years of banking experience in senior management roles in the areas of Commercial Banking, Risk Management, Operations, Marketing and Human Resources.
To be eligible for participation, your immigration status should be one of the following:
- Permanent Resident (PR status).
- Individuals with PR Status pending (have received a letter from IRCC indicating selection to become PR).
- Refugee and protected person.
- Temporary foreign worker approved under the previous Live-in Caregiver program.
