The Women’s Economic Council relies on high quality feedback and assessment to ensure our projects are properly targeted and effectively carried out. We get this feedback, in large part, from the organizations with whom we work.
But we often need more specific and directed insight. That’s when we turn to our advisory committee.
What is an Advisory Committee?
Think of an advisory committee as similar to a focus group. They were designed to be an outside voice that can be accessed from within the organization.
Usually, an advisory committee is formed out of people who are directly affected by the decisions being made. In WEC’s case, advisory committee members are from a range of organizations including women’s organizations, community partners for women-centred CED, business women and more.
